20 years from now, BoTW and Splatoon will be considered the greatest games from the 8th gen. The fact they could have been done on 7th gen hardware makes it even more impressive as is the fact 'open world' and 'shooter' aren't considered Nintendo's forte.

IKR, Last year was the first time a Nintendo game won majority GOTY awards since they started giving awards. 2018 marks the 4th time a Sony game has taken the honor in the last 10 years, and they have had 1 or 2 games in the top 5 every year except 2014. Nintendo is leagues behind Sony when it comes to delivering quality titles consistently.
