Thing is, PS4 is also kinda meh on the NPD prediction tool, and both show a downward trend for the console. So at this rate it looks like the December of the PS4 will be meh, or in other words below last year.

Yeah, I expect PS4 to have a smaller December compared to last year as well and I expect it to have a much smaller December than Nintendo (hence why I think Nintendo could catch up and take the year). But we wouldn't be able to tell from Amazon rankings.

Amazon has had PS4 losing all year when it in fact came out on top in 8 months. Even the NPD prediction tool has struggled to predict PS4's success during the holiday months.

You're doing yourself a favor by continuing to view Amazon rankings as a predictor of Amazon sales only. Else don't act surprised when people show up to tell you how bad Amazon is at predicting the overall market.
