There will eventually be a revolt of platforms that actually support free speech rising among the ranks. You can't suppress free speech and have a monopoly on and control the flow of information without expecting a major backlash. It's already starting with platforms like Duck Duck Go, Subscribestar, and Gab.
I lean left but I'm definitly noticing a covert and subtle but persistant and increasing silencing and deplatforming of conservatives and libertarian viewpoints. I find it abhorrent personally. Yes, I know it's within the rights of these corporations not to abide by the 1st Amendment, since they're A - global and B - not government entities. Doesn't make it right, or that the people should stand for it. Thankfully, the good thing about free markets is that they will always have the final say. And if Patreon is really going down as dark a road as I suspect, their bottom line will suffer, with the mass exodus of people leaving the platform. This is the way to hit these companies; financially, as it's the only language they understand.
