Tuesday news, part two:

Pagan Online's heroes hack and slash their way through a new trailer
https://www.pcgamer.com/pagan-onlines-heroes-hack-and-slash-their-way-through-a-new-trailer/
Pagan Online is an action RPG with some MOBA design sensibilities, Wargaming and Mad Head Games announced last month, and now we can see the mythological romp in action. Take a gander at the gameplay teaser trailer above.

World of Warcraft's Feast of Winter Veil includes a seasonal quest, decor, and more

The holiday have come to World of Warcraft, bringing the "fripperies, fineries, and delectable comestibles" of the Feast of Winter Veil to the war-riven realm of Azeroth. Running until January 2, the event will bring holiday quests to Orgrimmar and Ironforge, special seasonal gifts, and festive décor throughout the world.

The voices of Liquid and Solid Snake reunite to perform The Night Before Metal Gear

Hideo Kojima may have replaced David Hayter in Metal Gear Solid 5, but he'll never replace him in our hearts. We haven't heard much of Snake's true voice in the past few years, and if I had to guess how I'd next hear it, "reading a Metal Gear-inspired version of The Night Before Christmas" would not have been my first guess. But here we are.

Underworld Ascendant is getting an all-new save system and other big changes
https://www.pcgamer.com/underworld-ascendant-is-getting-an-all-new-save-system-and-other-big-changes/
I'm still not settled on my game of the year selection for 2018, but disappointment of the year is an easy one. I half-expected that Underworld Ascendant wouldn't live up to my expectations, since they were so unreasonably high, but I did not expect a disaster, wrapped in a train wreck, inside a 25/100 review. It was a heartbreaker by any measure.
The good news, such as it is, is that developer Otherside Entertainment isn't just taking the "L" and walking away from it. The studio posted plans for two major updates today on Steam, the first of which will hopefully go live next week.

Fallout 76 player learns to fly by using mutations and team perks

When Fallout 76 came out I said I'd miss using console command cheats that let you do things like walk through walls and fly in other (singleplayer) Fallout games. But at least in part, it looks like you can still do some of that in Fallout by using mutations, and having the help of a few friends. A YouTuber named TYR, seen above, has figured out how to fly using the right combination of Fallout 76 mutations, perk cards, and pals.

EVE Online's holiday update appropriately has more fighting than festivities
https://www.pcgamer.com/eve-onlines-holiday-update-appropriately-has-more-fighting-than-festivities/
EVE Online’s latest update takes place around an ice dwarf. It’s a chilly wee rock like our good pal, Pluto. Operation Permafrost is EVE’s holiday event and, in typical EVE fashion, involves taking on a job from a mysterious employer, fighting mercenaries, disrupting a company’s operations and taking part in corporate wars. It’s space—there’s no room for festive cheer.

Fortnite 7.10 brings festive fights, free gifts and new modes
https://www.pcgamer.com/fortnite-710-brings-festive-fights-free-gifts-and-new-modes/
After briefly being postponed, Fortnite’s 7.10 update is live now. Unfortunately, Epic’s still tinkering away on the driftboards, so you won’t be sliding around on them just yet, but you will be able slide across icy surfaces using other ground vehicles. The update brings quite a few changes with it, especially for stormwings, but the main event, 14 Days of Fortnite, doesn’t kick off until December 19.
>> That's the good news. The bad one is that they face another lawsuit because of its dances, something that deskpro2k3 has also shared in a new thread.

Frostpunk celebrates Christmas with a big tree and a free update
https://www.pcgamer.com/frostpunk-celebrates-christmas-with-a-big-tree-and-a-free-update/
Despite the perpetual winter, Frostpunk couldn't be described as festive, but thanks to the free update, A Christmas Carol, the gloomy survival management game’s Endless mode is getting a little speck of hope in the form of a new holiday quest and a massive Christmas tree.
