That depends. If the manager is the one in charge of buying players, then yeah it was all Mourinho's fault. But he most likely wasn't, in which case whoever's been in charge of player purchases for the last... well since Fergie left is also a problem at Utd that needs to be removed.

He bought 11 players it's one of the reasons cited in his sacking the manager did all the buying then his rotation tactics didn't allow the team to gel it's essentially a repeat of what happened in his last season at Chelsea.
