Sony - Is Sony saving VR? - View Post

I think VR is here to stay and doesn’t really need saving.
The adoption rate might not put the shelves on fire, but there is definitely a crowd for this type of gaming experience.

It won’t replace standard gaming, and it doean’t have to. Both offer something different, and both aren’t necessarily for everyone.

Personally, I enjoy VR in its current form and can’t wait to see where the tech will go from here. I wouldn’t play exclusively in VR anyway, but for some types of games, like single player first person games like RE VII and Skyrim, and other games made exclusively for VR like the stellar Astro Bot, I certainly wouldn’t want to miss out. So the PSVR has been a very good addition to my gaming life so far and I haven’t once regretted my purchase.

I am mostly buying the must haves (still need to pick up Tetris Effect and Beat Saber), because there’s a lot of crappy stuff coming out. But the must haves are really something else and lots of fun to experience. Some games like WipeOut may not be built first for VR, but the inclusion of the option to play them in VR elevates the experience to a whole new level. The games are made much more immersive and in turn much better via this option.
