This. In fact GOW difficulty is so nuts that i would say the most difficult combat in the game (at least until you play the valkyries) is the very first combat in the prologue section. Is Santa Monica Studios trolling you at the highest level...XD.

I can certify that I had a nightmare of time on the first fight kkk took me a long time to get used to the change in gameplay from other GoW. I can say I didn't enjoy the game much until I got to the part where you can play it more like a Hack and Slash instead of arrow, arrow, arrow, roll, parry, attack I had to use to survive until half game on level 1 because I didn't want to put money and resources on equips I would have to replace later. So until I was able to get the recipe for the best armor before the end game sets I haven't once forged a thing. It was very hard to win against the second "Troll" (the one in the snow gate, with about other 5 enemies), the Dark Elf and very later the pack of level 6 wolves (needed to hit 15 times each to kill while dying with 2 hits). Very punishing game. Still I was even more happy to see my son (started when he was like 3,5 years old and have been playing a little by little for the last 6 months, he already passed Elfheim) enjoying it on Give me a Story.

Your 3-4 old year son is playing GOW??? such a pro already!!. Amazing what the new generation of kids are capable of doing nowadays. What i was playing when i was a 4 year old??, Frogger?, Pacman?, Paperboy?,....
