I would say that capitalism is a stepping stone for socialism. It's like a sort of transition period to obtain our post-scarcity economy to be able to subsidize our potential theoretical maximum production for as little labour as possible ...

at this point this is a theory, the facts we have on the ground right now is that to maintain our way of life we have to work and that any sensible person would rather retain their autonomy than have the government control how they live their lives
