I think if you don't have public displays of affection you'd be fine. And Dubai is very different from the rest of UAE so I don't know. But if it's a principle thing, than I understand why you wouldn't wanna go there.

Yeah, it's a mix of principles and lack of freedom. Especially the latter. I'm very discrete and very rarely show affection in public, and not out of fear, I guess simply because that's the way I've been raised. But to think I'd have to constantly be aware of my surroundings would be a terrible thought. :c
