Like I just said - at least the Nintendo games you used as an example had a *wish* from the developers to implement these features. That wish clearly wasn't there for the Souls titles. Not to mention that's consistent with Nintendo's brand but not with the Souls games branding. 

The devs and fanbase objectively do not lose a single thing by allowing other people to play as well.
