Doesn't change the fact they are super famous WW.

You might not need it but many people do. The football club don't just represent people like you or countries where LGBT rights are good.

I have never needed it. - And that was before equal rights became a thing.

Newer generations are generally more accepting, time is what is the biggest driver of change, not rainbows paraded on screen, there is a time and place for everything.
Have the gay parades... Do promotional work, but don't invade every single medium known to man, it's unnecessary and invasive. - What goes on in an individuals bedroom and thus their sexuality is really no ones business anyway.

You don't need it but many do. This isn't for you. Yes it's their business but when people discriminate against it it needs awareness

Strong arguments on both sides here. I agree that awareness is very important, any movements in the past (women's rights, civil rights, marijuana legalization) have been met with intense opposition due to religious beliefs, social norms/taboos, etc; Anything worth it is never easy. Movements historically have never been comfortable and adopted effortlessly.

Though I do wonder what the barometer is for progression vs regression. No one wants to feel like something is forced upon them, the id wants to fight against such things. Also overexposure cheapens, how much is too much? I feel like more effort should be exuded to NOT isolate gay people in sports. I wish it was more along the lines of "oh we have this great athlete who just so happens to be gay. Cool, let's go practice".
