10 new games will be announced at The Game Awards

The Game Awards are a bit over a week away and will feature ten new game announcements during the show, alongside updates for existing games, Geoff Keighley tweeted today. He also promised more teases on the days running up to the show. You’ll be able to watch it on December 6.

Bethesda Softworks has posted the first in a planned series of "Inside the Vault" updates on the status of Fallout 76, which includes an acknowledgment of the game's many problems and a promise of fixes to come. It also lays out the basics of two patches slated for December that will, among other things, increase the size of the stash, add a push-to-talk function and FOV setting for the PC version of the game, and incorporate a new Bulldozer feature that will simplify the process of removing rocks, trees, and other detritus prior to placing your CAMP.

Epic has posted the Fortnite 6.31 patch notes, delivering details on a new Team Rumble limited time mode, new Epic and Legendary rarities for the pump shotgun, and on the Save the World side of the game, some new missions, equipment, and a Legendary Constructor named Airheart.

Bungie pulled back the curtain on Destiny 2's upcoming Black Armory expansion earlier today, introducing players to an exo gun dealer named ADA-1, who will set players off on quests to discover four fabled Lost Forges. In a less glamorous but more granular update, it also released the Update 2.1.0 patch notes, a lengthy and varied list of changes to the sandbox, Crucible and Gambit modes, PC-exclusive options, and more which have all gone live today.

The FTC agrees to investigate loot boxes

The US Federal Trade Commission will investigate loot boxes, chairman Joseph Simmons told a Senate Commerce Subcommittee on Tuesday. Simmons was asked to begin the investigation by Senator Maggie Hassan, who has previously raised concerns about loot boxes.
