Personally, it's my second favourite game ever, only behind Final Fantasy IX, and I've held on to that opinion since I first played it in 2001 through my previous playthrough a few years back. I can see why people might not like it, but for me there are very few games that compare to it. Just how it is with different tastes and opinions I suppose. |
It holds a 74 metacritic which I would say it is about Right. Almost a full point more than how I rated the game . I just can't say it is a 10 or 9 , it had too many flaws even the world map was lacking it was like connect the dots, it wasn't terrible I still hold a copy of it for collection purposes so I didn't hate the game. I will agree on FFIX it was probably my second Fave FF, the most polished real style FF game we ever got, with a very good translation. A real 9.5-10 in my book.
