For a PSX game it was quite a bit ahead of its time. The limitation of the system were noticeable but the ideas there were something we wouldn't see again for awhile in games, I spent my entire PSX days trying to find a similar experience and never did. I also loved the OST, being the videogame music lover that I am thats always a key aspect on games for me. The battle song in particular is stuck to my head for eternity

Completely agree. It seemed like the type of game that had a bunch of great features and ideas all rolled into one package but most of them weren't fully fleshed out to their maximum potential. The dungeons too were fun, but the story itself was truly Grand. The sinking continents, the sky pirates, the final revelations about Eon's origins. The game could have been so much more. Even years later as I played Skies of Arcadia on DC all I could think about was the Granstream Saga for some reason lol.
