I remember in the summer of 2007, Wii's also started becoming more common on store shelves. Once the holidays started approaching however they all disappeared. Really, in order to maintain fully stocked for the holidays, they are going to need enormous inventory to keep up.
I remember seeing piles of PS3s and 360s of over 150 at Best Buy. If we see piles in the 100s in the stores this winter, we'll know they are caught up.
