i see no real difference between believing in god as some magical space humanoid and believing that gender is infinite

both beliefs are baseless and inspired by the same emotional paradigm

that people think otherwise is a big mistake and is a big reason for the tribalism that is continuing to grow out of control

because one group stupidly looks at another group and goes "hahaha they are so stupid for thinking like that!" without being able to make the link back to their own idiotic interpretations of the world and realising that its a base component of being a human being to some degree

its not going to leave you if you stop picking up holy books and in many cases it seems to become amplified because some people foolishly believe "once i stop believing in god and associate with the atheism tribe i'll be rational and my beliefs must automatically be more grounded"

which goes the other way too "once i believe in god..."

I do think religion also hold's the sociality of the groupthinking and being part of that same group way higher than actual factual information so it diminishes the importance of incoming information from the outside of the group and gloryfies the information on the inside of the group.

true, conformity in many cases becomes the primary virtue, which is obviously a big problem

but don't get me wrong i think that some type of unifying theme has to be present in a community or that community will perish or be taken over by a dictator

religions like christianity despite their flaws held that purpose previously, its concerning that they appear to be dying slowly without new themes filling the void
