I guess its safe to say that sony isn,t all that interested in overall unit sales as much as its interested in remaining profitable on each box sold.
Then again who can blame them? At there current trajectory they should be hitting 100M by around fall next year and they are already making a killing on software sales and PS+ subs....... at the end of the day thats really whats important.
