While I'll always like Fallout 3 since it introduced me to the series the original games Fallouts 1 and 2 are far superior RPGS with stronger stories and mechanics and ever since Bethesda acquired the series they have been watering down the RPG elements of the series from game to game. I mean you mentioned classes for Fallout 3 they didn't have much impact on the game since when ever you leveled up you could put more points into you SPECIAL stats and including bobbleheads could level them all the way up and you could choose whatever perk you liked so whatever build you had at the beginning of the game was meaningless and you end up having an overpowered character. Fallout 4 was again more watered down with its RPG mechanics the perks were even more dull then before and it became even closer to a shooter then RPG I mean for me part of the fun with RPGS is creating characters with strengths and weaknesses and Bethesda doesn't do that well the perks in their games and they came across as more vanilla then the previous titles. |
Totally fair points, I guess. I can't handle ridiculously complex rpg's like fallout 1 and 2, but I understand they are great games for what they do.
Bet with Intrinsic:
The Switch will outsell 3DS (based on VGchartz numbers), according to me, while Intrinsic thinks the opposite will hold true. One month avatar control for the loser's avatar.
