American Evangelicals are a mystery to me...Jesus teachings were for the most part socialist. Free health care, Rich should give to the poor...in some cases all of their riches. He died for the salvation of his enemies...not very capitalistic views if I may say so. The early church survived on a socialist way of life where everyone shared with everyone all of their belongings. Some how, somewhere all of this was forgotten through the centuries. Now socialism doesn't work ( neither does pure capitalism) because usually the leader in a socialist society is a capitalist. In theory only Jesus would have been able to rule a perfect socialist nation as he was selfless and holy.
