That’s only a solution for people pre-ordering...what about the people buying the games normally? Would you like to wait a few days before you’re able to play your new game?

You still wouldn't have to. If all games were digital it would be up to the company of that region to decide when access to start downloading began. Hey could let every game you want download 99% of the way and block access to when the game is purchased. It doesn't HAVE TO only be for preorders. Nintendo America can keep it till the day of, Nintendo Korea could let downloading begin a month before.
