It's the most parsimonious explanation for all of the relevant testimony. Booze-boy Bart got hammered and mistook silence for acquiescence and went for it. That being said, memory is a funny thing and it's hard for me to take all of Ford's testimony prima facie. There are certain factors which call into question the events, but not necessarily the parties involved.

The most parsimonious explanation would be that the event simply never took place.   To this date, there's literally no evidence whatsoever that Kavanaugh was at this party, and where he was that summer is fairly well-documented.  Furthermore, he states that he remained a virgin for several years after the incident would have occurred, a status that none of his former girlfriends have denied.  Meanwhile:

  1. The witnesses all deny memory of the party ever happening.
  2. The accuser made sure to scrub her social media history before coming forward.  More or less erasing evidence.
  3. She claims to have wanted to remain anonymous, but contacted the press.
  4. She and her law team deliberately stalled the process for no reason other than political ones.  Including a baldy political repeating that she needed to have her security assured with each press release (she was going to the Senate, of course there would be security).
  5. She claimed to fear flying as an excuse, but she apparently flies more often than most people.
  6. She testified that she didn't know she could do so in private if she wished, despite it being widely reported that the Senate was totally willing to come to her if necessary (put simply, I knew, she should have).
  7. She testified to memory encoding that sounded legit to the untrained, but wouldn't pass a high school AP course (memories of traumatic events are very much subject to reinterpretation).
  8. She cannot state how she got home.
  9. Her testimony is that she apparently left her best friend in a house with a couple of drunk boys with rape on their mind.
  10. No one can recall her acting in a different manner after this alleged assault.
  11. Her former boyfriend has no memory of her reports of having difficulty in enclosed spaces.
  12. The one person she could not name would be the person who provided the home.
  13. Her testimony was perfectly vague on details.  She gave nothing that could be directly contradicted by a fact check and expose her to perjury charges.
  14. A talking point was made that she had "nothing to gain" by coming forward, but she will gain much financially and professionally.  In addition, she will be a hero within her community for the rest of her life.
  15. She demanded that the FBI interview her again for purposes that can only be categorized as political.
  16. She simultaneously claims that the thing she remembers most is the laughter, yet she had earlier testified that the music was turned up in order to drown out any potential cries for help.
  17. She refused to turn over the one piece of evidence that she can produce to the Senate, the therapy notes that are partially corroborate, partially contradict her testimony.
Put bluntly, I strongly believe this is another Duke lacrosse case and comments about "booze-boy Bart" are within the same sphere of assuming guilt based on nothing but prejudice of the privileged.  Certainly, this falls well short of any standard of evidence.

1. Err, no? They testified that they do not recall such an event. This is wholly distinct from claiming no such event occurred.

2. Source please

3. Indeed. Nobody in the government was responding to her so she went to the press instead.

4. Source

5. And germaphobes still participate in sex. Your point?

6. Without knowing how this was conveyed, it could be simple miscommunication.

7. Lol, please provide your credentials.

8. Who cares?

9. That's correct. She extracted herself, the only person in danger, from the situation.

10.  Did she ever attend another event with Kavanaugh?

11. So?

12. So?

13. As any memory from decades ago would be...

14. Facepalm

15. Facepalm

16. She testified that she remembers the laughter of Kavanaugh and his bro, not the people downstairs. Again, facepalm.

17. I wouldn't turn over my medical history to the senate either. The FBI though, sure.

Your belief is predicated upon Ford lying about everything, which not only isn't the most parsimonious explanation but strains on pure lunacy.
