It's less about the time than the fact that several studios have been involved in development during that time, including building new technology for the cloud aspect. And who even knows what complications resulted from losing some of the original developers to Epic. All of that adds to overhead, especially if there is a bottleneck in the pipeline. It also wouldn't surprise me if some aspect have been retooled after the not-great-reception the last time the game was shown, which would mean more resources invested. We'll see. I do hope we get the whole story one day.
