I don't understand. The problem is obviously quality ... and it's not like the publisher doesn't understand this. The only reason I can see them adding more means of monetization is that they know that skeptics will never play Destiny 2, and so they don't care about the reputation of that game anymore. Hopefully they'll care for the quality assurance of Destiny 3 though ... because one of these days I want to be able to enjoy a Bungie game again.
And no, "hardcore fans are happier than ever!" is not an argument for quality, especially when the player base is low and the game is building off mediocrity.
