Monday news, part two:
Undertale creator answers questions about his mysterious new project
https://www.pcgamer.com/undertale-creator-answers-questions-about-his-mysterious-new-project/
Undertale creator Toby Fox released a free, rather odd game yesterday called Deltarune, which those of you who are cleverer than I will notice is an anagram of Undertale. And it is, as Samuel put it, "familiarly Undertale-y." But what is it, actually? That was less clear, and Fox himself didn't help with that when he warned that, "FOR PUBLIC SAFETY, YOU ARE ADVISED TO REFRAIN FROM DISCUSSION OF THE PROGRAM FOR 24 HOURS."
Today, Fox took to TwitLonger to clear up some of the mysteries, although in truth he didn't answer questions so much as just open the door to more. To the first and most obvious inquiry, for example—whether Deltarune is a sequel to Undertale—he replied, "Please don't worry too much about that."

What began as a fun, detailed fan creation was just made real at BlizzCon 2018. The Janitor Leoric skin, including a lovely soap mount, will be coming to Heroes of the Storm soon. It's a pretty funny take on Diablo's notably loud, angry Skeleton King. Watch the trailer below, which also shows off skins for the first wholly original HotS character Orphea.
World of Warcraft: Classic is coming summer 2019, won't require another subscription
https://www.pcgamer.com/world-of-warcraft-classic-is-coming-summer-2019-wont-require-another-subscription/
World of Warcraft: Classic, the recreation of the MMO when it launched in 2004, is coming summer 2019—and better yet, you won't need to pay a separate subscription from your normal WoW one to play it. Announced live at Blizzcon 2018, executive producer John Hight revealed that progress on Classic had made strides since it was first revealed last year and that next year players would finally get to experience World of Warcraft as it was when it first launched 14 years ago.
>> And with it, the Gates of Ahn'Qiraj event is also coming back.

https://www.pcgamer.com/world-of-warcraft-battle-for-azeroths-major-81-update-is-coming-december-11/
World of Warcraft's next major update, called Tides of Vengeance, will be arriving on December 11 for US players, and a day later for those in Europe. First announced back in September on a livestream, Tides of Vengeance promises to fix many of the bigger problems that players have been complaining about since launch. Oh, and it'll also add heaps of new activities too, which is just as exciting.
>> It was also revealed where the 8.2 patch will take its players.
WoW's 2018 charity pet is the adorable Whomper, proceeds go to code.org
https://www.pcgamer.com/wows-2018-charity-pet-is-the-adorable-whomper-proceeds-go-to-codeorg/
At Blizzcon today, Blizzard announced Whomper, this year's World of Warcraft charity pet. The proceeds from Whomper, who costs $10 on the Blizzard store and looks very sad that you haven't adopted him yet, will go to Code.org. Blizzard's executive producer of WoW, John Hight, called Code "a non-profit dedicated to expanding computer science education in schools, and increasing participation by women and minorities."
Overwatch's new hero is Ashe, a DPS character with a rifle and shotgun
https://www.pcgamer.com/overwatch-hero-ashe/
Overwatch's next hero is an old McCree associate, Elizabeth Caledonia Ashe. She was revealed during BlizzCon's Opening Ceremony with a new cinematic today—check that out above.
Ashe is a DPS hero who fights with a semi-auto rifle, The Viper, which she can fire from the hip or down sights for more damage. Her Dynamite ability is essentially an incendiary grenade which either detonates shortly after throwing, or by being shot. Her second ability is more exciting: Coach Gun is a sawed-off shotgun that can be used to either knock back enemies or 'shotgun jump' with a shot at the ground, boosting her into the air.
>> Some skins and concept art for this new hero have been revealed.
Hearthstone's next expansion is Rastakhan's Rumble
https://www.pcgamer.com/hearthstones-next-expansion-is-rastakhans-rumble/
Once every generation, Azeroth's Troll tribes come together to compete for the blessings of the Loa and the favor of King Rastakhan. The no-holds-barred battle forms the basis for Rastakhan's Rumble, the next Hearthstone expansion, which was just revealed today as part of the BlizzCon opening ceremony.

https://www.pcgamer.com/into-the-breach-now-has-full-controller-support/
The sublime strategy game Into the Breach got a little better today with a small but important update that adds full controller support to the game.
The update means that Into the Breach will work properly, and natively, with any Steam-supported controller. Hookup is easy: Just plug your controller in while the game is running, then mash a button and it will switch to controller mode.
Rust now has hot air balloons and missiles that can shoot them down
https://www.pcgamer.com/rust-now-has-hot-air-balloons-and-missiles-that-can-shoot-them-down/
Rust, the survival game where you start by banging a rock against a tree and then progress to crafting automatic weapons, has opened up a new mode of travel that lets you take to the skies: hot air balloons. You'll find them scattered around the map, and once they're fueled you can fly wherever the wind carries you. Balloons should hold about four or five passengers, making them the ideal way to soar above the defenses of a fort you'd like to raid.
>> And that has pushed the game to an all time high player count.

With less than two weeks until we get our hands on Hitman 2, IO Interactive has released a live-action launch trailer detailing some of the more imaginative weapons you'll use to take out your targets, including an explosive rubber duck, a heavy bag of sugar and a wet fish.
Black Ops 4's first PC-only weapons rebalance is live
https://www.pcgamer.com/black-ops-4s-first-pc-only-weapons-rebalance-update-is-live/
Treyarch has released the first update aimed at changing Call of Duty: Black Ops 4's PC meta, and if you've been smacking your enemies down with dual Saug 9mm submachine guns, it's bad news.
Hip fire accuracy for the weapon already took a hit in a global patch this week, but now hip fire bullet spread has been widened further on PC, mostly because dual-wielding the guns was proving "extremely popular", Treyarch said in a Reddit post.
Fortnite is getting a new 'powerful assault rifle'
https://www.pcgamer.com/fortnite-is-getting-a-new-powerful-assault-rifle/
Epic is adding a Kalashnikov-styled Heavy Assault Rifle to Fortnite, and it'll be "most useful when fired in short bursts".
The gun, above, appeared yesterday in the updates feed that opens when you launch the game. It's described as a "powerful assault rifle" that is "coming soon"—usually, that means it'll be in the battle royale game within a week.
Amazon's MMO New World shows off new screens that aren't just some nice trees
https://www.pcgamer.com/amazons-mmo-new-world-shows-off-new-screens-that-arent-just-some-nice-trees/
I'm pretty fond of the #screenshotsaturday hashtag on Twitter that allows devs to showcase new games. One team using it to interesting effect is Amazon Game Studios' Orange County office, which is making the MMO New World. In this case it's being used to reveal new parts of the game's fictional supernatural continent. Over the past few weeks, the developer has unveiled a couple more locations on its substantial map—Brightwood and Weaver's Fen.
Path of Exile private leagues come with mods that make the game 'absurdly hard'
https://www.pcgamer.com/path-of-exile-private-leagues-come-with-mods-that-make-the-game-absurdly-hard/
Next week you'll be able to pay to run private leagues in Path of Exile and add mods to make the game absurdly hard.
"We designed private leagues with the needs of two groups of players in mind," reads the announcement on the Path of Exile site. "The first group is players who want a more challenging Path of Exile experience. The second is players who want to see how far they and their friends can get without outside influence from the rest of a league."
Please excuse my bad English.
