Well yeah, it was only on PC and a few other OS's at the time of the original release:

It's not the kind of game designed solely around consoles and the gamepad. RTS's mainstay is PC after all.
Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.
