Depends on whast you mean by “peak”.
My most passionate days (where I didn’t have much time to play, but had the most fun gaming) were in my teens. Early 90’s. 91-94. Mostly single player games and I was just discovering multiplayer in RTS and FPS games (tho my memory is bad so that may have come a bit later). Games were played for fun and not competition then.
My most active as a gamer days (where I played a LOT and barely slept) were during my WoW years. 2006-2008.
