If it was to be a once off then I would agree with going with certain sequels, but if you are looking to continue with say a classics 2 , Destruction Derby starts to make sense ,and with just twenty games FF7 and wild arms covered the jrpg need while leaving room for diversity.

Classics 2.... like a whole different collection you have to buy? That sounds even worse.
It makes no sense to include the worst installments in some of these franchises.
