I've never even heard of these games before. There was almost no media coverage for these games when they came out. Fans don't talk about these games or even mention them. 

You haven't heard of Destruction Derby? That franchise was very popular in the ps era, especially the sequel. Vgchartz has it at 1.17m.

 

Also Mr. Driller is missing the Japanese sales on vgchartz, it's highest selling region. 

Oh god, how I loved Destruction Derby. After playing it, I went out and bought a Playstation. Could scarcely believe what I was playing in my home. It wasn't the only game that blew my mind, but it was the one that pushed me over the edge, along with Tekken, Ridge Racer, Jumping Flash, Warhawk, and to a lesser extent, especially after playing Tekken, Battle Arena Toshinden. I liked Destruction Derby 2 as well, but it didn't catch me the way the first game did.
