And really, I'd rather NOT have had a second Sonic franchise rep at all, than have Shadow. More is not always better.

I sort of get that they've been rolling with villains, and preferably some with fan awareness to back them up, but Ms. Pacman or Mega Man X would've been third party echo reps that didn't carry Shadow's inescapable cringe value with them. 

Sonic is already in the game, so I don't see how Shadow adds more or less "cringe value" when that stuff comes from a certain part of the fanbase and not any specific games/characters themselves. Should Sakurai remove Bowser due to Bowsette? :L
