Fortunately, this a problem we can solve.  We can protect voting, educate (like really educate, not just hate ads) on the candidate, their  beliefs and exactly what they will do as our representative, let them be responsible for the outcomes and take control over who is representing us.  It is a tall order and the hardest part is getting people to pay attention.   And all candidates wont to a good choice for all people everywhere.  The needs of the people in Seattle and needs of the people in Dallas may be wildly different.  

Next, I propose that we dissolve political parties.  Counties and municipalities  will be responsible for funding their own elections and the candidates are beholden to work within the budget allowed.  If we can get the money out of politics, we can take back control over our representation.  No more mega donors to drown the airways with pro candidate messages with and end of buying their own elections. 

It is easier to say and harder to do. What you are suggesting is just short of political-economic revolution, but why stop there? Why not have an actual political-economic revolution which questions the basis of liberal-democratic political-economic life?

 

But that means the working class must keep its guns.
