Nearly four years, it's a GTX 970.

It's entirely possible, likely even I'd say, but I'm somewhat afraid of opening it and end up making it worse or even breaking the card somehow, thermal paste has always been the worst part of building PCs to me :/

You can always buy a can of compressed air (or use an air compressor if you have one) to blow the dust off of your card without having to open it.

It would be a cheaper option than buying a new card.
