You cant use the amazon price of a writeable blu ray to compair, its not the same as what manufactures use or pay for it.

That was just some off the sleeve math for the sake of example.  I have heard from multiple places that the cost is similar, but they are not reliable enough to post and I cannot find any raw data on the matter.

 

However, you still have to ask where exactly the line is.  Even if it is a little less than a Switch cart, it boils down to what the dev is willing to pay.
