Huh? cant remember where but I think I read it was like ~6-7p to stamp a blu-ray disc, and like a few dollars to make a Cartridge for the Switch.

Even if Blu-ray XL turns out to cost more to make than a normal bluray disc, it ll still be much cheaper than cartridges.
Shiken I think your wrong about disc that are mass produced and stamped costing as much as a cartidge.

I haven't heard any conclusive information on this topic, but I'm under the impression that Blu-Ray disks are much cheaper than Switch cartridges, which would explain why many Switch games are at a $5 mark-up. And during the PS1-era, I recall hearing that CDs were just pennies to make, and DVDs were more expensive, and that's why many PC games came with 4 CD-ROMs instead of 1 DVD data disk. (Either that or they figured not everyone had a DVD drive?)

I wouldn't've guessed Blu-Ray was down to just 7 cents yet, as I assumed there was some sort of licensing fee to use that format, and since it's still the preferred format, Sony is able to increase that price.
