Castlevania ii was our first game in the series. Probably because of the old Captain N cartoon. We didn't even call it Castlevania ii. We just called it Simon's Quest!
But I digress. At the time, I loved it. It was a little jarring going back and playing the first game and seeing how different and how much harder it was. I wanted Dracula's Curse to be more like Simon's Quest but I know I was on the minority.
And kudos to you for playing the series in this day and age. My old bones couldn't deal with the stress. I get anxiety just thinking about some of those old NES games!
