And what's this about a global reputation for JRPGs? Switch hasn't come close to having that reputation yet. I would hope that Atlus/Sega does indeed port Q2 to Switch so that it has a better chance of being successful.

Look at sales of JRPGs that released both on PS4 and Switch. The Switch SKU often equals or surpasses sales of PS4 SKU - even if its a late port (Disgaea 5, Yvs VIII).

Look at the explosive success of Octopath Traveler and the tidal wave of FF games Square's bringing to that platform now.

Look at the support Monolith Soft has given to the platform already. Xenoblade 2 itself is already near 2 million sold.

We get Fire Emblem, Pokemon, SMTV, DQ11 and Town in the year ahead as well.

Overall, the JRPG market on Switch is clearly booming.

It's definitely taking a little longer than I expected for Switch to become the "RPG machine" like a lot of people acted like it already was. That being said, I think 2 years for Japanese RPG support to ramp up is probably pretty normal. Plus, n ext year will be great (if DQ11 and SMTV actually come out)
