Only watched the second half, but what a game. The Packers defense couldn't stop the run despite knowing that it would come when Beathard threw only about a dozen of passes through three quarters. Packers down by 7 inside the 49ers' 10 with a 4th down at around 8 minutes to go, and they go for it instead of kicking a FG. They fail.

A good three minutes to go without timeouts, Packers march down the field and tie the game with just under two minutes left on the clock. Good kickoff return by the 49ers and a dumb penalty on the Packers, so SF starts almost at midfield. The defense brings the pressure on third down and Beathard threw an interception.

Packers have the ball at their own 10 with just over a minute to go. A few plays later Rodgers gets sacked on 3rd&15, but it's undone by an illegal contact penalty that brings a fresh set of downs with 43 seconds left on the clock. From there Rodgers is on point with a string of completions that not only bring the Packers into FG range, but make it a chip shot. Crosby finished 4/4 on the day, so the Packers won by 3 as I predicted.

Still pissed about hurting my record for the week with two changes that backfired, but the Packers remain alive and well going into the bye week, then they'll have a tough stretch of five games with four of them on the road and Seattle is the easiest one of those games. Not to take anything away from the Seahawks, but the Rams, Patriots and Vikings are all better teams. Sandwiched inbetween is a home game against the Dolphins which is a must-win.

EDIT: Checked the spreadsheet. If I counted correctly, burninmylight is the only one at 11-4 for the week and I am tied with a bunch of others at 10-5. Damn, I would have won the week with a 12-3 record with my initial picks and would have created some distance to the bulk. Why couldn't my internet be down on Sunday afternoon and block me from posting anything... of course it was down when the Sunday games were on in the evening. Of course.

Not surprising the 49ers managed to throw the lead. I was surprised they had a lead at all. 49ers are like the Giants, bound for 4th in their division. Which is pretty intense considering this years Seahawks and Cardinals.
