Steam games, like all PC games, have minimum requirements. Just pretend a Playstation is the same thing except the minimum requirements of the game are written right on the box art.

Also, the PS4 Pro (and its poor sales) would like to say "Hello".

Its a very good way to look at it however the big issue for me with gen leaps is they force you to upgrade when you don't actually want to or not ready to. I have to go out and spend $$$ on a new console, $$$ on new controllers and cables and batteries and accessories like head sets that might be important. Plus gen leaps also mean companies take advantage of there customers by removing major features in exchange to what they see are better features to replace them with, like add in DRM and remove Backwards compatibly etc.

Its exciting at the start to hear new info on new machines however like my PC, I upgrade when I see fit and I am also able to take my library and controllers with me, I wont need to replace anything. I still use a 360 controller over an X1 or PS4 controller because of choice. Its such an amazing system to have in place.

Anyway that's just my opinion, nothing against anyone, Gens are a fun thing to look into.

And with PC hardware lasting longer and longer... It's never been a better time to jump aboard.
