It's a shame people feel the need to have to resort to extremes as a reactionary sort of response, when one political side looks to be failing a country, there's a major backlash and people flock to the complete opposite end. It's similar here in America, as Trump was a sort of extreme reaction of both the fail policies of the left (or at least perceived fail policies of the left) combined with a rejection of ever-growing PC culture. Though this guy sounds a lot worse than Trump.

I don't see why people can't just get behind a moderate who can reach both sides of the isle, who can be strong and offer security/stability without being militant, hateful, or exclusionary. Hopefully that pendulum will swing back closer to the center, but it just seems like the last decade plus all I've seen are the extremes that are the most prominent and loudest.
