Kotaku's Jason Schreier thinks MTX are merely annoying

I'll honestly have to disagree with you on that one. I dislike when these tubers focus on just the negative aspects of the gaming industry, that much I can agree on, but the idea that we should supplant and be absolutely A-okay with MT's in every facet of gaming is so very, very, very absurd and ignorant. It's like allowing a cancer to spread, but shooting down anyone who dares speak of it otherwise.

before MT's were a thing, we were given free reign to unlock said content via cheats or completing challenges, and that system at it's time was fine. Only when MT's were introduced, did some feel they were "Necessary", but that crowd only proves that they are the ones who refuse to put time into anything truly meaningful or something they truly like, and are thus not worth the time spent on making the game for them. This is just another reason why we have mobile games, and they serve hundreds of millions just fine. Let that crowd flock to that sector, and leave those of us who wish to put time and effort into our favorite hobby completely and utterly alone. 

I ultimately find MT's to be a threat to gaming as a whole, whether they are "optional" (which is next to impossible, as the system is required to exist for the MT's to live in the first place, no argument can be made against how MT's even exist without a system, because it is impossible as they require the system to live in the first place) or not. 

I don't ever want to become like the previous generation, that seeks to blame "millennials" for a problem, only this one would be created and allowed for, and thus serve for legitimate loathing and hatred.
