That's a bit different. As far as I know GT doesn't have a story mode (I don't know, I don't play racing games.) I'm not saying that reviewers should do a 100% completionist run, where they find every secret, and get every achievement. Just that a reviewer should at the very least see the end credits. And I realize that there are going to be exceptions to that, like games where you can see the end credits after only experiencing an an hour or two of what the game has to offer. But those games should be treated differently. 

Story is one point of the game, and he can think it is rubbish within 1h or 80h depending on what he likes, still gameplay, graphics, sound, etc can be very well appreciated within 50h playing the game.
