As announced by Rockstar, simply logging on to the multiplayer crime sim from now through October 15 will see $300,000 deposited into your Maze Bank account by October 22.

HyperReuts' Evolvation bills itself as "a class based and fast paced multiplayer arena space flying shooter with multiple game modes which can be played solo and team-based." Until earlier this week, not many people had heard of it. Yesterday evening, a peak of 172,870 concurrent players caused its servers to buckle. And it all started with a misclick.

Czech indie studio Amanita Design is best known for brilliantly bizarre point-and-clickers like Samorost, Botanicula, and most recently, the laugh-out-loud funny Chuchel. Its new project looks to be quite a departure from that tradition. It's called Creaks, and it's a sidescrolling platformer about meeting your neighbors.

 

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 final system requirements revealed

With Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 coming out later this week, Treyarch has finally gotten around to releasing the full PC system requirements and launch schedule on Reddit. Interestingly, the final requirements are downgraded somewhat from the specs listed for last month's Blackout beta, which demanded an Intel Core i5 2500k (or AMD equivalent) as a minimum CPU, and recommended a Core i7 4770k.

 

Rumor: Microsoft is close to buying Obsidian Entertainment

Microsoft is reportedly close to finalizing a deal to purchase indie RPG developer Obsidian Entertainment based on three anonymous sources who spoke to Kotaku. While these deals sometimes fall apart at the last minute, one source told Kotaku that it was merely "a matter of when, not if." Another source said the deal was "90 percent" finished.

Overwatch Halloween skins revealed

Overwatch's Halloween Terror seasonal event returns for 2018 today, and it brings a heap of new spooky skins for Overwatch heroes new and old. The skins include Swamp Monster Doomfist—AKA Doomfish—and a sweet Enchanted Armor skin for Pharah. Also Wrecking Ball is a pumpkin now.

Fortnite adds Quad Rocket Launcher, Disco Domination LTM, Skull Squad gear

First teased via its message of the day screen, Fortnite has now added a Quad Rocket Launcher and its Disco Domination LTM. Check out the former in motion above, and read on to learn more about the contents of update v6.02.
"Break out your best moves and take control of the dance floor in this new Limited Time Mode," reads the update's patch notes, before explaining the battle royale's latest LTM pits two teams of 50 against one another. Across five pop-up dance floors—which appear when the storm is stationary—players will emote "when no enemies are present" to "raise a disco ball in the centre of the floor, and capture it for your team."

As Tom reported last month, Football Manager 2019 shakes up its UI, overhauls its training system, adds VAR and introduces a fully-licensed 36-team German Bundesliga. The footie sim's official Twitter feed has now revealed a fresh load of incoming features—including mid-season training camps, smarter contracts and better commentary.

 

XCOM 2 Tactical Legacy DLC out now, free for a limited time for WotC owners

XCOM 2 has released Tactical Legacy—a DLC for its War of the Chosen expansion that adds new modes, maps, weapons, armours and more. If you own the latter it's free till December 3.
If you don't, the War of the Chosen & Tactical Legacy Pack is on sale on Steam for £20.99/$23.99 (40 percent less its regular price) till Tuesday, October 16. You'll need the XCOM 2 base game in order to play War of the Chosen, though, which is also on sale for £11.54/$19.79 with a 67 percent discount. AND the XCOM 2 base game is free to try for the next two days.
