i am 90% sure they are going to make Xenoblade Chronicles HD and port Xenoblade Chronicles X to the Switch, and for several reasons
-XC debuted to a niche audience, and with a small amount of English copies available. Today a physical copy of Xenoblade Chronicles is considered a collectors item and goes for prices high above the original market price. even copies of Xenoblade Chronicles 3D have been marked up due to rarity. Xenoblade Chronicles X also isnt particularly common due to the Wii U having an underwhelming presence.
-a lot of assets are already made. the Expansion Pass for XC2 added a new challenge mode which introduced brand new models for Shulk, Fiora, and Elma, as well as a large amount of XC enemies.
-the developers behind the game have stated they want to port XCX to the Switch
