Monday news, the also long part two:

https://www.pcgamer.com/american-truck-simulator-oregon-expansion-due-next-week/
We love cruising around in American Truck Simulator. It's one of the best ways to relax in PC gaming. Soon, as noted by RPS, we'll be able to glide through the beautiful climes of Oregon in a new expansion coming out next week.
In a series of blog posts exploring the large new map SCS detail Portland and Oregon's bridges.

As if Scum wasn't gross enough, now you can make masks out of human skin
https://www.pcgamer.com/as-if-scum-wasnt-gross-enough-now-you-can-make-masks-out-of-human-skin/
Set a bunch of convicted felons loose on an island, and things are gonna get pretty dark, pretty quick. You can already butcher other people into meat hunks and eat them in Early Access survival game Scum, but today's update gives you a grisly new fashion option as well: masks you can craft from human skin.

Tech Support: Error Unknown is a game about corporations, call centers, and conspiracies
https://www.pcgamer.com/tech-support-error-unknown-is-a-game-about-corporations-call-centers-and-conspiracies/
Tech support: We need it, but we don't like it. But what if we were part of it? And what if, during the discharge of our dull day-to-day duties, we discovered that there's more going on in the world around us than meets the eye? That behind all those error messages and angry customers, something sinister was happening? That's the setup for Tech Support: Error Unknown, a "story rich adventure" set to come out in February.

Party Hard 2 story trailer smells like violence, final demo now available
https://www.pcgamer.com/party-hard-2-story-trailer-smells-like-violence-final-demo-now-available/
Party Hard is a 2015 stealth-action game about noisy neighbors and what happens to them after they ignore your requests to tone it down at 3 am. Party Hard 2 is built around a slightly different premise—you've been fired, so it's time to crash the company party—but the underlying mechanics are essentially the same: Get inside and kill as many people as you can, in whatever ways possible.

Valve changes Artifact card name to avoid racist connotations
https://www.pcgamer.com/valve-changes-artifact-card-name-to-avoid-racist-connotations/
Valve has been revealing new Artifact cards on its Twitter feed over the past few days, including one called Crack the Whip. "When you play Crack the Whip, it triggers once right after its played," Valve wrote. "If you play an Untested Grunt next to the whipped hero it will trigger again, and the Grunt will receive the bonus."
That's innocuous enough—"cracking the whip" is a fairly common and widely used phrase—but the card text turned it into something altogether different. "Crack the Whip," it says. "Modify a black hero with 'After you play a black card, give this hero and its allied neighbors +2 Attack this round'."

EA has outlined the odds of getting rare FIFA 19 Ultimate Team (FUT) cards in its first in-game promotion, Ones to Watch.
Through a new Show Pack Possibilities feature—a welcomed addition implemented following a ruling from Belgium's Gambling Commission—it's now clear to players that there's less than a one per cent chance of securing a Ones to Watch card.

The latest Farming Simulator 19 teaser shows how you can destroy your own crops in real time
https://www.pcgamer.com/the-latest-farming-simulator-19-teaser-shows-how-you-can-destroy-your-own-crops-in-real-time/
Giants Software has dropped a new teaser trailer demonstrating the "new field interactions" coming to its upcoming farming sim, Farming Simulator 19.
The video shows off the new features available for crops, including liming, weeding, and herbiciding (I think I just made that word up), as well as footage of how your vehicular wheels can destroy your crops in real-time... although given not all vehicles seem to do this in the teaser, it would appear the feature is optional.

Pressed for time? Geneshift's new battle royale mode has two-minute rounds
https://www.pcgamer.com/pressed-for-time-geneshifts-new-battle-royale-mode-has-two-minute-rounds/
GTA-inspired top-down shooter Geneshift was released in 2017, after Ben Johnson spent nearly a decade developing it. Last month Johnson joked on Reddit about making a battle royale mode for Geneshift with rounds that lasted only 20 seconds, and based on the positive response he decided to make it a reality. Ultimately, 20 seconds proved to be a little too quick, so Johnson decided to make the rounds in what he calls 'Battle Royale Turbo' a bit longer: two minutes. You can watch the trailer above.

Musical puzzle game Resynth is out now
https://www.pcgamer.com/musical-puzzle-game-resynth-is-out-now/
Resynth is a Sokoban-style puzzle game from two indie designers who previously worked on the paint-splatting platformer de Blob, which had an excellent jazz/funk soundtrack. Music's important to Resynth too. While you're pushing blocks around there's a white line wiping across the level from left to right. Each time it interacts with an object it plays a beat, so as you move everything into its right place the repeating music of that level gets more complete, until finally the level and the tune achieve harmony.

FTL-like submarine game Diluvion gets Resubmerged update
https://www.pcgamer.com/ftl-like-submarine-game-diluvion-gets-resubmerged-update/
Last year Holly Nielsen reviewed Diluvion, a game about being captain of a submarine straight out of Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea (...).
She had some criticisms, particularly for its checkpoints, but also for the UI. Players had plenty of feedback for indie studio Arachnid Games too, and so they spent another year working on an update which they're now ready to launch. Resubmerged is a free update that makes salvaging more dynamic, adds depth to the looting, crew management, and sub upgrading systems, has more ship customization, and "enhanced visuals, new graphics settings, a complete UI overhaul with improved quest tracking and waypoints, the ability to save anywhere, and revamped landmark, navigation and pathfinding systems."

"In addition, Vivendi maintains its March 2018 commitment to refrain from purchasing Ubisoft shares for a period of five years", the press release states.

This game is a twee Papers, Please with a dash of Animal Crossing
https://www.pcgamer.com/how-about-a-twee-papers-please-with-a-dash-of-animal-crossing/
There’s two games I didn’t think I’d ever be talking about in the same breath, but here we are. Willowbrooke Post is an upcoming game where the player returns home to manage their parents’ post office for a year following their “sudden departure,” in the process meeting the local community, learning about them, and stamping lots of letters. Willowbrooke Post will be developed by Dante Knoxx and published by Excalibur, the company behind odd, endearing broken car simulator Jalopy.

Fortnite’s flying Loot Lake island is moving around
https://www.pcgamer.com/fortnites-flying-loot-lake-island-is-moving-around/
The island floating above Loot Lake is moving, folks. After the mysterious cube kinda… melted into it last season, we’ve now got a floating island above Loot Lake. Players are now reporting all over social media that the island is floating, moving across the map from place to place—though where it’s actually going remains a mystery. If that sentence means nothing to you, maybe catch up on what’s new in Fortnite Season 6 before proceeding.

After 6 years, space sim Limit Theory ceases development
https://www.pcgamer.com/after-6-years-space-sim-limit-theory-ceases-development/
Space sandbox game Limit Theory has thrown in the towel, with one-man development team Josh Parnell posting a long, passionate goodbye to the project announcing that it’s over. Funded six years ago with a moderately successful Kickstarter, Parnell says that he’s at the end of crowdfunded funds and personal investments, citing a desire to care for his own mental and physical well-being as another reason to cease development.

Long-running MMO Everquest is getting a new expansion, Daybreak games has announced.
Titled “The Burning Lands”, the MMO’s 25th (!) expansion is centred around the Planes of Power, originally introduced in 2002 via the game’s fourth expansion. The previous two expansions focussed upon the island of Kunark, home to the Iksar, Everquest’s lizard-men. Hence, the Burning Lands this represents a significant change in direction.

Devolver Digital has announced Weedcraft Inc, a management sim about growing and selling marijuana.
The announcement came in the form of a trailer, which intersperses in-game footage of Weedcraft with clips of various politicians and celebrities (including, yes, Elon Musk), discussing and, in Elon’s case, huffing the controversial narcotic.
