Obama also wants a permanent presense in iraq...
I don't get where people get the idea that Obama wants to end the war in Iraq. He wants to pull out troops to make the iraqis stand on his own... and he wants to have a permanent base in Iraq to keep a "terrorist strikeforce" that will unilaterally go into countries like pakistan without their governments approval and attack terrorists.
I don't know where people think Obama wants to withdraw from the reason. He's said himself he'd reverse troop movements if things in iraq got bad enough.
They both plan to see the war until it's through. Obama just wants to try pulling out troops to see if the Iraqi's are being lazy. Which last i saw was McCain's plan too... it's just he wants to pull out troops more gradually.
If your looking for a big seperating issue between the two candidates...
Iraq ain't it.
The problem with McCain is that he's Pro-Life and some of those Supreme Court Justices are pretty old. (Almost as old as McCain!)
The amusing thing is people will treat these two candidates as if they were the two most different candidates you've ever seen... when in reality they are so alike in all of the major campaign issues it makes me laugh.
Did you know... McCain is actually the bigger enviromentalist of the two?
