I mean that's really nothing new. People have been comparing Pokemon with similar designs and concepts since the beginning; Milotic and Dragonair, Magikarp and Feebas, Luvdisc and Alomomola etc.

I mean look at a Zebra and a Horse. Just add freaking stripes.
