PUBG's latest update finally adds a ranking system to the game

PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds will soon be getting a ranking system with Update #22. The system is currently on the Test Servers and is hoped to go live in early October.
There will be eight ranks which will be assigned based on Rank Points earned and you'll need to play ten provisional matches to earn your first rank. You can check out the chart below for details on the rankings.

We included Fortnite's Close Encounters LTM in our list of the best and worst of Fortnite's limited time modes, but I'm not completely certain about which side it was meant for. "Players would fly through their air, shotguns in hand and jetpacks on backs, taking players out in the skies," which sounds like a blast—except that once people figured out how to literally place themselves above the fray, it all fell apart. Epic pulled the plug, and that was that. Until today.

 

Lineage 2 Classic brings back old-time MMOing in October

Users of third-party Overwatch apps like Visor and Pursuit may soon find themselves in hot water with Blizzard, which is sending out warnings to players saying that the use of unauthorized third-party programs could lead to penalties, including a possible permaban.

 

Jagex moderator fired for stealing 45 billion coins from Old School Runescape player

A couple of months ago, an Old School Runescape player who goes by mazrim_lol on Reddit claimed that a "serious data breach" had caused him to lose 45 billion coins on his main account. His claims were dismissed by a number of other players, several of whom suggested that it was his own fault for not having the account properly secured, or that he might be lying about it completely. But it came to light today that he wasn't lying, and that he was correct about the data breach, which was actually an inside job at Jagex.
