https://www.pcgamer.com/fortnite-had-over-78-million-players-in-august-its-biggest-month-yet/
In a recent blog post detailing the format for the upcoming Fall Skirmish competition, Epic casually dropped its August Fortnite player numbers as if they were a minor footnote. With Fortnite Season 6 and the one-year anniversary of Battle Royale coming up next week, Fortnite just had its biggest month yet.
"August was Fortnite’s biggest month yet, with 78.3 million of you showing up to play."

>>Kerotan has made a thread about this.

3DMark adds a new 'Night Raid' benchmark for PCs with integrated graphics
https://www.pcgamer.com/3dmark-adds-a-new-night-raid-benchmark-for-pcs-with-integrated-graphics/
UL Benchmarks is fleshing out its 3DMark benchmarking suite with a couple of new tests, one of which is built specifically for evaluating systems with integrated graphics. The other is a ray tracing benchmark that we covered last month.
The one that is being built for PCs with integrated graphics is called "Night Raid." It's a DirectX 12 benchmark, though presumably less intense than Time Spy, which is also a DX12 test.
UL Benchmarks didn't get into the nitty-gritty details of Night Raid, though did say it is ideal for "laptops, notebooks, tablets, and other mobile computing devices." It can also be used to evaluate Windows 10 PCs running on ARM hardware.
As for the ray tracing benchmark, it still doesn't have a name. UL Benchmarks says it combines real-time ray tracing with existing with existing techniques to enhance reflections and other effects, and will run on any system that supports Microsoft's DirectX Raytracing (DXR) API.

>>In case you didn't know, UL Benchmarks is the former Futuremark.

Project-AC is another fan-made Half Life 3 project, partially based on Marc Laidlaw’s Epistle 3
https://www.dsogaming.com/news/project-ac-is-another-fan-made-half-life-3-project-partially-based-on-marc-laidlaw-epistle-3/
Project-AC team is currently working on brand new Half Life 3 project (or Half Life 2: Episode Three if you prefer) in Source Engine. Project-AC is described as a modification for Half Life 2 that is partially based on the motives of the Episode Three or Epistle 3.
As the team claimed, while the plot is partially based on Epistle 3, it does not convey the whole story that was written by Marc Laidlaw.

This Monster Hunter World mod adds important NPCs to the gathering hub
https://www.dsogaming.com/news/this-monster-hunter-world-mod-adds-important-npcs-to-the-gathering-hub/
Modder ‘MHVuze’ has released a pretty interesting mod for Monster Hunter World. As its title suggests, the Improved NPC Locations mod adds important NPCs to the gathering hub so that players won’t have to constantly leave for crafting and facility management.
This mod is said to be compatible in both offline and online modes, though we suggest avoid using it online as it may eventually lead to a ban. For the time being, Capcom has not banned the author for using it however there is no guarantee that you will be safe using it.

>>The mod is available from Nexus Mods.

Dragon Quest XI modders aim to replace its midi OST with its official Orchestral music
https://www.dsogaming.com/news/dragon-quest-xi-modders-aim-to-replace-its-midi-ost-with-its-official-orchestral-soundtrack/
Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age is perhaps the purest turn-based JRPG we’ve seen lately on current-gen platforms. However, and instead of using its official orchestral soundtrack, Square Enix decided to use a midi OST that disappointed a large number of gamers.
Thankfully, though, modders are currently working on replacing the game’s midi OST with the official Orchestral soundtrack. While this mod has not been released yet, the team behind it has released a video showing the game’s Opening, Prologue and First Dungeon with this new soundtrack.
