I have my PS4 Pro upstairs and my wife has the OG PS4 hooked up downstairs. I remember playing God of War on my Pro, and then watching her play on the OG, and the framerate issues on the OG were very noticeable. Had the PS4 Pro never been released, maybe the game would have been optimized with higher framerates on the OG PS4.

I'm happy with my Pro, but that doesn't mean that the precedent that has been set makes us any better off.

Edit: It might impact the leap in graphical power between generations, which comparing PS5 to PS4 Pro might not be as impactful and may make PS4 Pro purchasers feel as though they can hold off on upgrading to the new gen.
