Playstation Classic Announced, releasing in December 3rd with 20 games pre-loaded and cost $99

I just noticed that the controllers lack analogue sticks.
I can't remember how important the sticks were... So were there any big Playstation One games that mandated the need for them? Might limit the games Sony is going to pick out as well.
