The more I think about it, the more I see that the game list is going to make or break the success of this thing. The biggest thing that made the NES classic successful is they made sure that all the best NES games were on it (except for big non-gaming IP like Ninja Turtles). They also made sure the list was fairly diverse. For example they put on Final Fantasy 1 even though it wasn't nearly as big as the Mario/Zelda type games. The SNES classic was pretty good about this too, although not perfect. (They did leave off Chrono Trigger.)

I've seen plenty of Sega game type consoles over the years and sometimes the lists are good and sometimes they aren't. I think Sony needs to make sure they get the big Konami games like Symphony of the Night and Metal Gear Solid. Just have to wait and see what the list is like.
